There are those who choose to be silent for the cause, and when they do weird stuff - a lot of people don't understand the reason behind it. This is similar for the case of this 8-year-old boy named Christian McPhilamy who had to endure bullying from his classmates for a very selfless and inspiring cause. This boy's story is truly remarkable and motivating!
Christian McPhilamy was a resident of Florida when he saw the ad for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. In the said ad, there were children losing their hair due to sickness. His mother then explained to him that these children are very strong and the reason why their hair is losing is because they have cancer and that it's the side effect of chemotherapy. From then on, he became inspired to lend his hand to these children and make them happy so he decided to let his hair grow long so he can donate them to Children with Hair Loss.
This decision wasn't easy for Christian. Because of this, he has to combat a year and a half of mocking for growing his hair long until the time she looked like a girl - even adults teased him to cut it for money!
Talking to his mother, Deeanna Thomas, she said that Christian endured a lot of criticism and bullying throughout that time. But the young guy's determination didn't falter even with the pestering he had to face. He had the courage to explain to them why he did it with his head held high - and people start to apologize with shame!
